Local population
Aspe’s population underwent a strong period of growth between 1960 and 1975 as a result of its industrial and agricultural development. This translated into a series of social improvements such as higher standards of living and social welfare and a strong decrease in mortality.
Until today, demographic data shows an increase in population with a marked upward trend in the last decade, with a current population currently of 20,482 inhabitants of which 50.38% are males and 49.62% females. Our current population density is 288.89 inhabitants per square kilometre.
